Thank you for stopping by Slimplify Life! My name is Amanda and I am an avid runner and lover of all things nutrition.
I recently took a leap of faith and left the corporate world to pursue my passion for health and nutrition. I now work at a Culinary School and continue to explore and learn as much about living a healthy lifestyle as I can. I am happier and healthier than I have ever been and I hope to share some of what I learn with you all!
The short and sweet facts about me: Faith and family keep me grounded. Nutrition and running keep my flying. My recipes don’t always turn out right. I won’t always have perfect grammar. Learning to laugh at myself is one of the best life lessons I have learned. I have a tendency to qualify anything and everything with math and numbers. I have more running clothes than normal clothes. Chocolate is my weakness. Fall is my favorite season. I’ll always contemplate getting bangs but never actually get them. I am not afraid to tell you I wear pink polka dot pajamas and that my hair is in a messy bun 99% of the time because at least you’ll always know you’re getting the honest me =). Speaking of honesty, these Quinoa Pancakes did not turn out well (see third sentence of this paragraph).
Nutrition is applicable to everyone and I believe the more we know about it, the more we experiment and explore it in our daily lives. Come along with me as I pursue my dream and explore the world of health and nutrition.
